We were told that this week we would have our ceiling panels replaced with new “tiles” and a metal grid, but the disruption to us would be minimal. I really thought that I knew what that meant, but when I came in to see a missing ceiling and the lights hanging on with string and guts-hanging-out pipes and wires, I was a bit shocked. An office ceiling is nothing like my childhood unfinished basement.
The only comment that everyone agreed on at the office is it looked like a scene from a SciFi aliens movie, only with less drippy goo.. We hope. here are some pictures of the early stages, and the first bit of the replaced Grid being put up.
Hidden somewhere in your office is an unlabelled red button, and if you were to press it, the entire building would launch into space.

It actually still looks pretty nice to me. lol… I mean, it looks air conditioned, bright, and very clean.
