Happy Parent’s Day, adventurers! Ever since the world of Ragnarok Online opened its gates, we’ve seen countless adventurers embark on incredible journeys. Among the many features that have shaped our world the adoption system was a truly unique feature. It allowed players to welcome a younger adventurer into their family as a beloved Baby Class character. This feature enabled a new bond between players and a new twist to relationships in RO.
So, what made the Baby Class so different? Here’s a look back at its main features.
Welcoming a New Family Member
The journey to becoming an RO family was filled with joy. When two players had already found their perfect match and were happily married in-game, they could extend their family by adopting another character! Both parents equipped their wedding rings to start the magic. Once equipped, one parent could then initiate the adoption. After confirmation from the child-to-be, a new family would be formed!
The Charm of the Baby Class
Baby characters in RO offered more than just charm. They brought unique skills that deepened the family experience. For instance, the “Mom, Dad, I love you!” skill could protect parents from death penalties, making these little adventurers a valuable part of any family. Their abilities made adventuring a more supportive atmosphere and enriched gameplay for those just joining the journey.
Beyond the Skills
Being a Baby Class meant you were visually smaller (sooo funny!), adding an extra layer of cuteness to all your adventures. A favorite benefit was the ability for Baby characters to share experience with both of their parents! This transformed the often-grindy journey of leveling into a delightful family endeavor, making every monster defeated and quest completed a shared experience that created a spirit of collaboration and growth.
The Baby Class was a heartwarming cornerstone of the RO community which truly showed that our adventures were about building relationships and creating lasting memories.
