There have always been issues that stem from sharing accounts between people. For this reason, the staff has never officially offered support to accounts that were found to be shared. However, when such cases arise, the team has always tried to help users who share their accounts as much as we can, even though they will not get the full restoration support of our staff.
This brings about the subject of “Guild Accounts,” accounts made with the intention of giving multiple people access, to either house the guild leader character or to store guild items. As these accounts are usually shared by multiple people, there is a very large chance that someone will log in to one of these accounts, someday, and take items from it. In such cases, the staff usually tries to assist users in getting their items back. This allowance has caused many problems for us in ticket load and delays as well as many debates as to “who” should get what.
As of June 1, 2011, the support for Shared Guild accounts is being changed:
If an account has had many previous accessors, over a significant period of time, and one of the accessors takes items off of the account in question, the WarpPortal Support team will not retrieve the items that the accessor took.
Each account was registered by one individual. Even if an account was created with the intent of several people sharing it, there is one person that went through the registration process, and that individual is responsible for everything that happens on an account. The registered users of all shared accounts are urged to change the password to those accounts.
If you intend to share an account, only put items on there that you are comfortable losing. And understand that at some point it is likely that something will be taken that wasn’t likely intended to be permanently taken.
Everyone should be cautious with the people they share accounts with. The WarpPortal Support staff has seen many cases of real life friends betray each other in order to steal items from a shared account. If you share you must do so with the complete understanding that your actions are putting the account at risk. Sharing accounts also leads to suspensions when the sharing person does something against the User Agreement or Account Policy, the account will receive the appropriate consequences.
Please be careful when considering if account sharing is worth losing the items you have worked for.
Thank you.

RO desperately needs a system that enables items to be selectively bound to an account.
A button could be added to item description windows that, when pressed, binds or unbinds the respective item to the account currently holding it with a password. The password would be separate from the account’s authentication password and only the account’s owner would be able to reset it.
Thank you.

So, who are you?
okay i ordered me some warp points and i guess your system is down until when? because i want those points lol. i need to send a ticket
Ooh, I thought this was going to be about how account sharing will no longer be allowed. But this is nice :]
this gona mess with the big guilds, but i wont care, cause they abused the system.
I would suggest a Guild bank system, where said item set to a guild bank item, and you select to use the item for 1 day or what ever, or said person is selected to use this item for woe, and after woe, or that day, the time gets sent directly back to the guild bank.
But know this a programing issue and all programing is nightmares to iRO or you not allowed to do such programing and kro would not be inclined to do such thing for us so, this probably wont happen,
each account should not be shared to another person or any 3rd party websites since we(account owners) will always be liable to what’s gonna happen with our accounts. if scammed/hacked then its gonna be your own fault and support tems should not tend to their tickets since they already know the risk they should be responsible.
I understand what you are saying. But it sucks for the couple that shares an account that wont get the full support of WP.
