I know I have talked a little bit about us moving offices to the ROSE community, but I am not sure if my other colleagues have spread the word just yet. Well as of the 23rd of this month we said good bye to our offices and did a little bit of a move. Now it wasn’t too epic, in fact it we are still on the same block, but a different office, and a much different environment then are last office.
We started packing up about a week prior once we got word that we were going to be moving, you see we have been looking for a little while now to find a place suitable for our teams and gives us the environment that we want. Something open and lacking offices, we are doomed to these cubicals it would seem ^_^. Actually I love the openness of the new office space. We are all in a fairly open environment and able to communicate ease and thus far it seems as we have found a great fit for us.
So on the 23rd at 6PM, like a pack of trained rats or monkeys, we grabbed our computers and chairs and personal effects and started the trek to the new office.
Here is how chaotic moving our offices is.
Then on the 24th, that Saturday we all showed up again with a moving crew, come on we are all gamers and nerds we couldn’t hardly lift the monitors off the desks let alone move the big stuff. So the guys showed up and started working at 9AM, they were helping us pick up and move until 8PM that day and for those that live in southern Cali know that this weekend was horrid, horrible hot. Well to top of things I guess the air conditioning is turned off at 6PM and all weekend, go go being green?!?! Well we worked it out and had an amble source of water to keep us going. Here is a small snap shot of the aftermath of that Saturday.
You may not see that as chaotic, and I do admit that the above picture doesn’t really show how chaotic things got. But this might help you understand, this is our front door…haha what an entry point this makes.
So over the last week we have been trying to get work done and in the evenings moving over things here and there as we can fit into cars/trucks and find time and people to move things. Well tonight at 7:33 PM here we finished up the last of our IT moving.
Here are a few pictures of the finished product, well as much as we have been able to do given all things that have happened in the last week.

Double comment but I just wanted to say that It looks really fun to work there! Is that a GM at the one desk with all those monitors. It looks like I see Pronteras streets on one of them.

What’s with all the guitars? Do you guys have a band in your spare time?
I’m imagining something very 80’s with a lot of leather.
I always think you work in building that you have all of the space of that building.
I mean i think Gravity Interactive is (or was) in a complex of buildings where each of them have two floors.
Now the question is, are you moving to a different part of the same building (so each building have different entrances from street for each office) or moving to a different bulding in the same complex.
